From a bare plot to a maintainable garden

What the first proposal actually covers

The first visit turns a broad request such as “make the garden greener” into an accountable scope. We note levels, hard edges, drainage, water source, exposure and access for soil or plants. The design stage then defines circulation, shade, planting character and irrigation zones together. Clients can see which work is essential for establishment and which elements can be phased later.

Installation begins with protection and setting-out. Soil improvement is limited to the areas that need it, main irrigation lines are pressure-tested before they are covered, and plants are placed for review before final planting. The handover includes an establishment schedule, valve locations and practical care notes. If Fetesap continues with maintenance, the visit rhythm and reporting format are agreed separately so responsibilities remain clear.

What the client receives

The working material is scaled to the assignment: annotated observations for a care visit, outline layouts during design, and coordinated planting and irrigation information when installation is included. Recommendations name priorities and dependencies, so optional improvements do not look like urgent corrections. Site access, protection, waste removal and responsibility for existing services are confirmed before work begins.

Local conditions can alter the sequence. Dusty wind, exceptional heat, restricted compound hours or a delayed nursery delivery may make a short reschedule better than forcing work into an unsuitable day. The project contact is told what changed, why it matters and what the revised next step will be.
